In the words of Fred Gosman"Children who always get what they wantwill want as long as they live."And somewhere along the line it is important for thecharacter development of our children to learn that"the earth still revolves around the sun"and not around them.
How true that is. My kids are always wanting something new, something better or something someone else has. How do you teach them the value of what they do have,
and what it means to work for something. How do I love them and not give them so much. They think they need it all, lets go do this, can't I have that, when is enough enough.
You want to give your kids everything, and best of what it is, you want them to have it all.
But then all I do is ask them to clean their room, put the toys away ahhh!
When does it end!
I look around at all I have, my beautiful kids, my house, my husband who works so hard to provide for us, my family that I love so much, all my nieces and nephews, sister and brother
in-laws, my in-laws I have so much to be thankful for, I hope I can teach my kids how much we have and how to be grateful for it all. Thank you Mom and Dad for teaching me that I don't need it all, as long as we have our family around us. That is all that really matters.
I love you all, thanks for giving me so much.
"Fix it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without."
