How true it is.

In the words of Fred Gosman
"Children who always get what they want
will want as long as they live."
And somewhere along the line it is important for the
character development of our children to learn that
"the earth still revolves around the sun"
and not around them.
How true that is. My kids are always wanting something new, something better or something someone else has. How do you teach them the value of what they do have,
and what it means to work for something. How do I love them and not give them so much. They think they need it all, lets go do this, can't I have that, when is enough enough.
You want to give your kids everything, and best of what it is, you want them to have it all.
But then all I do is ask them to clean their room, put the toys away ahhh!
When does it end!
I look around at all I have, my beautiful kids, my house, my husband who works so hard to provide for us, my family that I love so much, all my nieces and nephews, sister and brother
in-laws, my in-laws I have so much to be thankful for, I hope I can teach my kids how much we have and how to be grateful for it all. Thank you Mom and Dad for teaching me that I don't need it all, as long as we have our family around us. That is all that really matters.
I love you all, thanks for giving me so much.
"Fix it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without."

What You Give To The World!!!

Day to Day Happenings

Laike has started crawling into this stool all the time then he sits and crys because he can't get out it is so funny.

So your getting to see some of the day to day things going on at our house. I don't know how well I will keep up but this is a start.
Peyton, so so cute.

I made egg sandwiches for breafast today and Peyton ate all the eggs out of it.

Hailey would sit and color or draw all day long she loves it and so Peyton and Laike like to sit here with her
At school Hailey writes a story every day so here are two of them, hope you have fun reading them they are very cute.

We have been trying to read scriptures every night . Colton is trying to follow along.

Colton is always making something for school so he made this for a 3rd grade science rotation.
On the top of the box he wrote about the Killer Whale and the Sea Turtle

How can you not just want to kiss that face.

I tryed to comb Laikes hair and he got so sad, he usually loves it.

Codey took of his boots and Laike went right over to put them on he loves shoes.

Will you be my Valentine

For Family night on monday the kids made their valentines for their classes.

Ice Sculpture

So if come to Pleasant Grove much on 100 E. across the street from the PGJHS you will see this it has grown over the last month or so. So on Saturday I stoped to take this picture, through out the day it got warmer and most of the outside towers you see fell down, but I thought this was so cool and the kids love to drive past to see if it has gotten bigger.

So our family is building a cabin and Codey and Johnnie went down yesterday and worked all day so here is what they got done . It is looking so good.

Colton does a book report every month at school so in the month of January they were asked to read a biography of someone and give an orel report on the person so he chose Dr. Seuss. He did a grate job he got a little scared and had to read some of it but it was Ok.

Well Haily is I think the best student in her class, so I got a call the other day from her teacher at school to say that she was reciving an award, So at their stand and shout assembly she got this. So I guess you can see what a wonderful little girl she is.
All the kids had to be in on this one, when ever I take a picture they all want to be in it.

So Laike loves to eat all the time.

When he wakes up it the morning

he goes right to his chair,

so the other day

I made him a peanut butter sandwitch,

I think he likes it.
